The newest online resource for poker players traveling to Las Vegas this year is called LasVegasPokerSource.com. While visiting this new source of poker information, players will be pleased to see that a favorite poker tournament series will continue this year – The Venetian’s Deep Stack Extravaganza.

The Venetian Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas started the Deep Stack Extravaganza poker tournament series in 2007, and since then has played host to thousands of serious poker players during their month-long event runs.

Some of the first Deep Stack Extravaganza poker tournaments built up prize pools that totaled several million dollars. Poker players from all over the world travel to Las Vegas to play these events, which will continue in 2010, beginning on January 29th and running through February 25th. Another round of the poker tournament series will follow in the spring.

"We have received very positive feedback from poker players regarding the Deep Stack poker tournaments," one Venetian poker room manager was quoted as saying. The poker room consistently receives a high volume of emails and phone calls requesting information about the Deep Stack poker tournament series. So much so, that the schedule has been increased to being held four times a year.

The Deep Stack Extravaganza poker events carry buy-ins ranging from $340 to the now $2,500 buy-in, three day championship poker event. But it is the immense starting chip stacks and more than adequate blind structure that make them so popular among poker players.

These two factors, along with the large crowds of poker professionals and local players it draws, make the Deep Stack Extravaganza the hot ticket for poker players. It doesn’t hurt that the summer series runs simultaneous with the World Series of Poker. So those who exit their 2010 WSOP event early, or have days to spare in between their planned poker tournaments, just may decide to squeeze in another large poker event during their Las Vegas stay.

The 2010 Deep Stack Extravaganza will see many of the same visitors and players as the past three years, and will likely surpass last year’s tournament entries as it continues to grow in popularity and spread through word of mouth and positive reviews on the poker forums.

For the $340 buy-in events, players will start with $12,000 in chips. The $550 and $1,070 events allow the player $15,000 in starting chips, and the championship event, with its $2500 price tag, starts each player with $20,000 chips.

The past Deep Stack Extravaganza events have been intensely competitive poker tournaments, participated in by numerous professionals and local poker grinders, and this year’s series is expected to heighten the competition even more, as poker players from all avenues challenge each other with different skills and playing styles.

For more information about the 2010 Deep Stack Extravaganza at The Venetian Hotel & Casino, you can call The Venetian Poker Room at (702) 414-7657 for the latest event details and hotel/casino information. You can also find more information online about this poker series and many other major poker events and charity tournaments at LasVegasPokerSource.com. The site will help you plan your poker tournament schedule while visiting Las Vegas by offering daily tournament and cash game schedules, as well as options for professional poker training.
