| Wales has it all in spades, from castles that seem to dot the landscape wherever you look, to hundreds of golf courses, to a long and proud history and all packed in to an area that is easily crossed and explored in a motorhome on a short break or for even longer, there is as much to discover as you want. Those who like the sea and the coast will not be disappointed, amazing beaches and quiet campsites afford a view out over the Atlantic, but bustling cities and towns are within easy reach for provisions or a night out. The beaches are in fact proud owners of more "blue flags" per mile than any other place in the UK, not the first thing one thinks of when talking about Wales, but it's true. What does come to mind is rugby, and you can either take in a local game or make a trip to the Millennium Stadium in the heart of Cardiff, Capital of Wales, which is the home to Welsh rugby as well as other great sporting events like the FA Cup final. The pace is your own, so whilst you could go on any number of country walks or even kite surfing on one of the fantastic beaches, you could just relax and take in the view from the step of a motorhome, it's entirely your choice. There are many well equipped campsites around the country, and with the recent increase in the fashion of having a motorhome many facilities are top notch, with swimming pools, kids clubs and entertainment for the older crowd now gaining in popularity across the board. It is a great time to visit. www.campervansdirect.co.uk |
